getting back on (or off) the horse
so last margarita thursday, i smashed my big toe in the congo line. didn’t think much of it, since i do this kind of shit all the time.
however, later i realized it was all bloody. typical me, but i was still a little surprised. even later i dropped a case of water on it, and on further inspection, saw that it had split in half with a nice little hook to the left. sweet.
after a few days of clever hello kitty bandaging (and about 45 toe stubbings), i gave up and went to the nail place to get it filled. it feels weird because i’m not the type of girl who gets her nails done at all, and i just stubbed it again. so now it hurts.
i’m really afraid i’m going to break the whole thing!!! oh dear. i’m also scared of infection, so i’ve been dousing it in alcohol and peroxide. it’s like my little science-fair volcano.
regardless, the four-day celebratory bash i’m about to embark upon will include more congo-lining!! and perhaps nicer shoes than the flip-flops i’ve been living in. ;)

they say there’s no place like home. when i was a kid, i didn’t know there was any other place but home.

i swear i’ve not dropped off the edge of the earth!
just insanely busy wrapping up l.a. life… you know how it goes!! gearing up for vegas next weekend (MUCH NEEDED!!!), getting close to finishing the moonlit road and closing in on my last few days at work. woooohoooo!
things are really coming together for alaska!! i’ve been awarded another scholarship, so i’m really gonna quit bitching about how i never get anything from the man! lol!
soon, i’ll post my ohio photos. i PROMISE!! and maybe a margarita thursday shot will make it in, too, so those of you in the loop who still haven’t gone can see what you’re missing ;)
p.s. while waiting during a calltime lag, i tripped upon a wonderful johnny gem: personal file. it has not one, but FOUR alaska songs. i love!

oooo… i’m sooo slooooow!
had a busy couple of weeks! went to ohio (photos & stuff soon!) and have been really busy with my friend’s film, the moonlit road. add it on myspace:
also, i leave for alaska in ONE MONTH!!!!! aaaaahhhhhhh! major progress: i actually shipped two boxes today. two boxes that have been packed for like three months. i’m a little scattered!! and yes, i smashed my hand while dropping the boxes off. feels a little like it’s on fire.
