Hi!

AH! I’ve been busy. Tomorrow is my first day off in three weeks, so naturally I’m having that housewarming party I’ve been thinking about for months. Theme: Victorian/ Fin de Siècle… Which basically means tiny foods, French Pop, and Absinthe.

I don’t know what to serve. Does anyone have a good suggestion for little appetizers that might fit the theme? I’m trying to stay away from tea sandwiches since a few of my restaurant friends are coming, and that’s basically what we serve. So that’s kinda lame. Also, something easy since I’m a pretty sucky cook.

Last night, I dreamed

…that I took Bijou to some big event and we got separated in the crowd. I ran around yelling, “Bijou! Bijou!” and when I saw him all the people near me also yelled, “Bijou! Over here!” to help guide him since he was looking around, vague and confused and trying to find me. He finally did, and ran to where I was and we hugged and he jumped up and down and I petted his head as we celebrated our happy reunion.

Except the whole time, Bijou wasn’t my 11-year-old Jack Russell. He was a tall and handsome man in his mid-thirties.

Poor Westley.

You truly love each other and so you might have been truly happy. Not one couple in a century has that chance, no matter what the story books say. And so I think no man in a century will suffer as greatly as you will.

I planned to go to archery but the ocean was calling me again. A 5-mile shore walk is just very good. Only my calves got burned. Weird! I got The Little Prince for my best friend’s (soon-to-emerge) baby at a bookstore on the boardwalk. Funny, I couldn’t find a hardcover copy anywhere… then I rolled the dice and got lucky. YAY! Now he can grow up with my favorite story :)
